Hi there...

I can't believe summer is coming to a close!  We can here the Katydid's just about all the time at our home! I think our dogs don't like the sound very much.  It brings back memories to me of my childhood.  My grandmother had Weeping Willow trees in her front yard and we lived with her until I was about 6 years old and every day after lunch we would go out on the large front porch and there was that big swing!  She sat on the end of it and I would lay down on the swing with my head in her apron...I can still remember the smell of the fried apples or green beans or whatever she had cooked that day and she would rub my hair until I went to sleep watching those weeping willow trees and listening to the Katydid's way off in the distance and her talking to me, telling me stories about Jesus...about her life...or just about anything that came to her mind that day.  You know, that wasn't a costly thing...it wasn't taking me to the movies or buying me an expensive video game to keep me occupied or taking me to the mall and spending money on me but her time, her words, they meant the world to me. I knew she loved me because she spent time with me.  I loved her talks with me.  And the same with my Mother and my Daddy.  We really start thinking about what is important in life...it isn't what we have..or don't have...it is the moments we share with those we love.  They are the real valuable, priceless jewels we possess.  No one can take them away from us...our love for our family.  Every moment is important and our words can change another persons life, for good or for bad.

God Bless You All,
Nancy

John 13:34-35  A  new commandment I give unto you.  That ye love one another: as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
